ChoreSteps (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is operated by AdapTo IT LLC. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our website at choresteps.com and related services (the “Service”).
By using ChoreSteps, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and authentication credentials through our authentication provider, Clerk. You may also sign in with a third-party provider (such as Google), in which case we receive basic profile information from that provider.
You may optionally provide preferences such as your default age range, energy level, sensory challenges, preferred view mode, and audio settings. This information is used solely to personalize your experience.
If you choose to store your household tool inventory (e.g., cleaning products and appliances), we save this information to generate checklists tailored to the tools you have.
We store checklists you generate or save, your progress on those checklists (including completed, skipped, and paused steps), and basic usage counts (e.g., number of AI generations per month) to enforce free-tier limits and improve the Service.
If you subscribe to a paid plan, payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe. We do not store your credit card number or banking details. We receive and store only your Stripe customer ID and subscription status.
When you visit ChoreSteps, our hosting provider (Vercel) may automatically collect standard log data such as your IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URL, and pages visited. This data is used for security, performance monitoring, and analytics.
